MISSION STATEMENT:

Our mission is to provide every patient with high-quality treatment using the finest resources at very modest fees.

First Orthodontic Visit / Initial Consultation

Welcome to My Orthodontist. Your first visit is an opportunity for you to get to know the doctor, staff and services. At your first visit, Dr. Chelian will determine if orthodontic treatment is right for you or your child. If treatment is required, digital X-rays will be taken at no charge*. At our practice we use digital X-rays to provide the patient with a quick and more accurate diagnosis. After the initial consultation, diagnostic records may be taken at the same visit or scheduled as a separate appointment. The records allow the doctor to formulate a customized treatment plan and also track the progress of treatment. If it is determined that braces are necessary, our staff will discuss your treatment options with you to determine which braces best suit you or your child’s needs. At this appointment, payment options and treatment costs will also be discussed. Our practice is committed to providing top-quality care to every patient. We are committed to helping our patients attain a beautiful smile and healthy bite at reasonable prices.

*There will be a charge for X-rays if a copy is required.

Complete diagnostic records

  1. Study Models
  2. X-Rays
  3. Pictures

Diagnostic records typically include plaster study models of the teeth, photos of the patient's face and teeth, and X-rays. The study models and X-rays allows the doctor to take measurements and perform various analysis. This information is used to develop a custom treatment plan for each patient. These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under orthodontic care.

Treatment Plan Consultation

After the doctor has evaluated your records, a customized treatment plan is made for each individual patient. The doctor will discuss your particular treatment with you in detail. This will include sequencing your treatment along with a timeline to track your progress. Depending on the complexity of the treatment, the final fee for your particular case will be given along with the payment options available.

Regular Appointments

The appointment when you get your appliances (braces, expanders, etc.) usually takes from 1 to 2 hours. You'll then see us at regular intervals from 4 to 10 weeks (usually 6 weeks) apart for an adjustment, which takes 20 to 40 minutes. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients, and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. Cancel only if it is an emergency. It is difficult to reschedule you since most appointments are made 6 to 10 weeks in advance.
